Melano CC is a Japanese vitamin C skincare line from Rohto Pharmaceutical, the company behind Hada Labo. As at 5 October 2026 it has no official Australian channel and we did not find it at major Australian chains, but Australian J-beauty specialists stock its essences, lotion and cream.
Melano CC is made by Rohto Pharmaceutical, the Osaka company also behind Hada Labo. Rohto's own company history records that the line launched in 2005 as Medicated Mentholatum Melano Buster, later renamed Melano CC.
The range is built around vitamin C. Rohto says its 2025 lotion pairs a sustained-release vitamin C derivative with panthenol and dipotassium glycyrrhizinate, and that Melano CC lotion was number one by unit sales in Japan's lotion market for two consecutive years to March 2025, based on Intage data. The brand marked its 20th anniversary in 2025 and says it now frames vitamin C as an everyday ingredient for bright-looking skin.
