Senka

Senka is a Japanese skincare brand, best known for its Perfect Whip foaming cleansers, now owned by FineToday after Shiseido sold its personal care business. As at 5 October 2026 it has no official Australian channel and we did not find it at major Australian chains, but several Australian J-beauty specialists stock it.

Senka grew up inside Shiseido as an affordable drugstore skincare line. Shiseido says its Perfect Whip foaming face wash was the top-selling single product in Japan's self-purchase facial cleanser market for eight straight years from 2009 to 2016, and in 2018 it relaunched the cleansing range around the idea of beautiful bare skin, adding a Collagen In version of Perfect Whip.

In February 2021 Shiseido agreed to move its personal care business, including Senka and the haircare brand Tsubaki, into a joint venture with CVC Capital Partners, keeping a 35 percent stake. The deal completed in July 2021 and the business became Fine Today Shiseido, now known as FineToday. In February 2026 CVC agreed to sell FineToday to Bain Capital.

Today the brand says its focus is clean, fresh, bare skin, with ranges of facial cleansers, makeup removers and body soaps.
